In Bologna for Art City Trasmissioni Disturbate: a solo show by Renzo Francabandera

Disturbed transmissions it is a project on the transmission of memory and knowledge through what remains and what is lost. Some installations on display, material works and postcards created over time by Renzo Francabandera, born from the reworking of waste, recoveries, visual and material fragments that no longer belong to the history of an individual, but which – like old photo albums – inhabit the collective memory.

Next to the postcards, the exhibition includes other forms of “find”: annotated photos, printing tests, visual notes and micro-installations that reconstruct the genealogy of knowledge transmission gestures. The whole takes the form of an archive in progress, in which the creative act is intertwined with critical reflection on the way in which material knowledge is corrupted by finding another form of itself.

During the inauguration a participatory performance: visitors are welcome to bring old photos, postcards, small objects, lines of poems to which they are related. These materials will be transformed into new postcards "to be sent to the future" which, collected in a dynamic archive, they will generate new connections between everyone's memories.
