Landscape is the exhibition project by Renzo Francabandera organized by Fuori Luogo – La Spezia at the Dalma Ruggiero Cultural Center. It was born from the artist's research which began in 2021 by chance discovery, in the streets of the city, of a small collection of postcards and some family photos, probably destined for waste, which two different families had decided to get rid of. A move, a change of city. We will never know, but those imagined places, they have become an engine for personal research, made of new and free signs, more and more broken up and fragmented, until they become places of lost memories, seen perhaps from above, whose distance transforms them into new panoramas, signs with an abstract effect, psychic investigation of forms, shreds of memory and color.
